"Today, on Ràdio Marina's morning360 , we are joined by Wilma Ann, a member of the gospel group Bobby Lewis Ensemble from Harlem, who is the pastor of the New Light Baptist Church in New York. This group will perform in Blanes next November 17. It will be at the Parish of Santa Maria, in a concert organized by the group Pensament i Acció.
Wilma Ann explains that she lives a few months a year in our territory and that, this year, "I have the privilege of singing there with the group".

"For me the gospel is a way of life. Gospel means good news and the purpose of music is to spread good news of Jesus”, she says. In this sense, she explains that even though "not everyone believes, this message gives us all joy". "Any music can transmit what it carries inside the soul, but the gospel seems to me more fun and happy." In fact, she remembers that with the gospel she had one of the best experiences of her life: "I felt that I was in heaven on earth".

"International Women's Day will always be special for Wilma Ann. It is the day she opened the 42rd annual Jazz Festival of Terrassa in Spain. Performing for local dignitaries and city leaders, she was a sight most had never seen. While jazz is immensely popular in Spain, and throughout all of Europe, this American born art form usually only brings native Americans to town by way of huge productions like festivals. Terrassa hosted an unforgettable talent."
